Placenta Previa Still...
By *Roselyn* » Posted May. 7, 2018 12:10pm - 279 views - 5 comments

Well, 28w3d and still have complete placenta previa. Doc said it will mostly likely not move. Sent me to the specialist in 4 weeks at 32w3d. I really don't want to have a c - section. I don't wanna be cut up or have my baby be born early at 37 weeks. :(

Lol. Research makes everything scary! I know plenty of healthy c section babies though. My first was an emergency c section. I chose not to do it again for a number of reasons but the biggest one is vaginal has a faster recovery. I know women who've had great c section experiences though, especially when scheduled. Try to be positive. I know it's not ideal but when it's all over, the joy of finally meeting your healthy baby will make it all worth it.

Thank you ladies!
Sonata85, thanks for the advice and all. My first was born at 41 weeks, so I am concerned to have an early baby. Also, with c-sections, my scare is that they are not good for babies in general. There are so many things that can negatively affect the baby by not being born naturally, like allergies, asthma, developmental delays, obesity, etc... From what I read lol

I had a c-section at 36 weeks with baby #1 after about 12 hours of labor. I was soooo afraid of being cut open, but it was so much less scary than I thought it would be. The epidural was great, just felt some light pulling sensations. If you do have to have an early c-section, your Dr will prepare you well for it, and you may want to ask about steroid shots to mature baby’s lungs. If your baby is average size and no real issues (it's breathing and feeding that are a concern at 36 weeks, but 37 weeks is full term) you’ll probably be leaving the hospital together. But I really hope the placenta moves and you get the birth experience you want! There’s still time <3

Oh, I know how you feel. A c-section is my nightmare, too. I'm praying for you.
