Nearly There!

So the BIG DAY is just around the corner. It's so close I can almost taste it.

I am actually very very nervous. Not about the birth as such but all the lead up bits. May sound silly but all the unknowns are starting to play on my mind.

I am rolling on my exercise/birthing ball as I type. I also have to spend about an hour a day down on all fours to try and spin this little bubba into anterior position cause he has been presenting as semi posterior in the last two ultrasounds. He is head down but not fully engaged either. Well, that was as of 1 week ago. I see my obgyn tomorrow and I guess we will see where he is then.

So I have been having aches and pains for over a week now. They are progressively getting stronger by the day. Sharp shooting pains in the cervix area. Lots of lower abdominal pressure and soreness. Have had diarrhoea for the last week or two. I can't sit on the couch at night to watch tv anymore. I have to sit on my exercise ball or on all fours. There is no other comfy position.

I just can't wait until he arrives. Nerves and all, this is going to be the best day of my life. I can't believe its so close.
I am anxious about when my bloody show will or won't happen, when my water will or maybe won't break, when I will start having serious contractions... or again maybe I won't and I will have to be induced.
Isn't it funny how you pray like crazy that the baby stays put and everything is perfect and then in these last two weeks you are anxiously awaiting all the signals that you didn't want for the past 9 months. Nuts!

Well, my body is definitely preparing. My baby is moving around a lot still. He hasn't slowed his movements much at all. They are now very uncomfy as there is minimal room in there.
I hope my next journal entry is my birth story. I am so excited!!!!!

Hope you are all doing well and everyone is healthy and happy. xoxox

You make a great point, we want them to stay in there for sooo long and then when it comes time we want them out like now. It's weird how that works. reading your post made me super nervous! But super excited too! Good luck!!!

I've been really cranky recently and experiencing reflux in my throat after eating. However, I've got ~16wks left, so my symptoms are just minor inconveniences, especially compared to that long last month of discomfort. You can do it!!

Thank you rcorinne. I am so uncomfortable at the moment. I hope this bubba decides he wants to come soon. 2 or more weeks of this will drive me nuts! They really weren't kidding when they said the last month of pregnancy feels like it has 2390 days in it! Hahaha. How are you doing? x

So soon! It's tough not knowing what will happen, but sounds like you're mentally prepared for all scenarios. Hope you can rest up and feel as good as possible going into labor.
