Morning Sickness or lack there of.

So, I started looking up Morning Sickness. This topic is on my mind although I am not concerned at all. Now there are some forums that these women are just bat-shit crazy and talk about MS having to do with "sick blood" who she was informed from her nutritionist. I could go on and on about what others thought MS can be caused by.
-In my first pregnancy with my Son Preston, I had an awesome pregnancy. I was 26 at the time and I had no Morning sickness during that pregnancy. It was a text book pregnancy. Every milestone he was perfect and I only gained 26lbs with him. He is 5 years old now and is very smart, whitty and confident. I also remember I got a late BFP with him.
-My 2nd pregnancy that I miscarried at 13 weeks, I had morning sickness starting at 5w5d. I was so nauseous from sun up to the time I laid down for bed. That lasted until 12w exactly and I ended up losing that baby at 13weeks.
-My 3rd Pregnancy with Connor, I had morning sickness prior to my BFP lasting up to 12w exactly.
-This pregnancy, MS has not set in yet. Not sure if I will have it, like my 1st pregnancy but I wonder what this means.

Some people have said it has to do with Higher HCG levels that women get MS. It may be possible that HCG in the beginning may start off low but increasing appropriately hormones don't affect us as badly as those who start off with higher HCG levels?
So my question is to you ladies, have you had your HCG levels checked in the beginning and do your levels coincide with this?

My levels this pregnancy: (these are guess-timates on my dpo since I am not sure if I ovulated CD 15,16,17 or 18)

13dpo: 21
15dpo: 57
19dpo: 326

I am 7 weeks and only have mild nausea, not every day, and doesn't last very long... I was miserable around now with my son, so yes, I'm nervous lol... My last hcg was June 15th I think, and they were 5197. It's been over a week since then, and still feel the same even though my levels should be much higher by now... not sure if they plan on checking my levels again or not... next apt is my physical on the 1st, then ultrasound on the 6th... just trying not to think about it. Maybe my body is better able to handle the pregnancy hormones since I just had my son (he's 14 months). So if I actually am able to feel good this pregnancy, I'd like to enjoy it instead of worrying about it... of course, I don't want to jinx myself either and have horrendous ms hit in the next few days lol

It is quite interesting hearing how each of us have different situations and who gets ms and those who don't. I did jinx myself yesterday and ended up nauseous that I had a very small dinner last night and sipped on ginger ale for dessert. It went away towards the time I was ready for bed thankfully!

I had higher than avg hcg due to twins (one vanished by 7 weeks) and I had no morning sickness until the 2nd trimester. 14dpo - 165, 16dpo - 429, 21dpo - 3360 and 28dpo - 33,000+. Everyone told me that morning sickness was a sign of healthy hormone levels and a healthy pregnancy so naturally I freaked out that I didn't feel pregnant. I think I just did the trimesters out of order because I was super nauseous the 2nd trimester. I felt like a freak because my pregnancy did match my pre-conceived notions of a normal, typical pregnancy. I've been really surprised to see so much variation from person to person!

I was just thinking about MS too. I was saying to my hubby that I don't even feel pregnant because I wasn't throwing up or really having too much nausea. I threw up the morning I took my first test at 11dpo just because that gave me the notion I may be pregnant...I'm thinking even though the levels were so low at that point...the initial shock to your body with the hormone might make u sick and then it gets used to it until they rise higher...now I'm in the 8,000's and this morning for the first time I ate breakfast and instantly threw up and still have felt nauseous all day. My first pregnancy however, I never had morning sickeness at all...only time I gagged was brushing my teeth...so I know every pregnancy varies as far as symptoms.

My HCG level was ~3,400 right before 5 weeks and ~5,700 right after 5 weeks (48 hour span). I've only had mild bouts of nausea and haven't puked yet (have been close but haven't puked). It seems to be slowing down now. I'm always hungry but like pbc910, my biggest issue was food aversions and smells is what would make me gag. I just think it's different for everyone. They probably have nothing to do with one another but I very rarely ever get sick in general so I'm attributing the very mild MS to my bad ass immune system, haha. I hope the MS steers clear from you!

I had high levels with both mine had no sickness what so ever with my first daughter and only a bit nauseated with my second up to 12w. You must remember every pregnancy and person is so unique with their pregnancy and symptoms . Your numbers are going up and that's wonderful. Don't let the Internet or other people's numbers and symptoms worry you. Your doing great :-)

I had bad morning sickness with my daughter. Only had levels checked one time, I was exactly 6 weeks and it was over 60,000. The doctor told me it was about double what they expected it to be lol.

Never had my levels checked with this pregnancy, but barely had any morning sickness at all. My test lines were a lot lighter this time around compared to when I was pregnant with my daughter but I'm not sure whether that necessarily means my HCG was lower this time around or not lol.

I think it's interesting to hear all the different theories on it.
My two early miscarriages before I got pregnant with my daughter I had bad morning sickness with them both, even after miscarrying. With the second one, I'd gone into the hospital and my HCG was only 6. I continued to have morning sickness for about a week after that.

...each woman's body reacts to the hormones and rising HCG differently. Everything I read tells me I should be horribly sick with twins. But I am not and still amaze my ob/gyn. I've always been the kind of person to tolerate medications, vitamins, and medical procedures rather well. I've also been the kind of person that doesn't tend to get sick a lot (usually once every couple of years). I don't know if that means anything. Or maybe it's just plain luck? My mom told me she was never sick with any of her children. Does genetics play a role? It's truly amazing how varied the pregnancy experience is for everyone. No two pregnancies are alike, even with the same woman!
