Single digit countdown...

With 9 days to go...standing at 97% complete (38 weeks and 5 days preggo) the anxiety is kicking in.
Had my appo with my midwife today. I'm at a 2cm dilation and she said the cervix is thinning. ...clearly not fast enough!!! I'm starting to get a lil nervous...coz for the first time today the "C" word was mentioned *sobbing*
Had my second stretch and sweep today....not feeling any different than the last one. I know it will only work if my body and my baby is ready to be born. I was hoping she'd be eager to meet me too...lol! So we wait I guess...my doula is also patient and encouraging me.
My midwife thinks by weekend the baby will be here....she said that last week....so if by Sunday she's still not here...she has adviced that I take 30ml of castor oil....my word!!! I'm nervous just thinking about it.
Just to whine a lil....I hurt my damn toenail...just perfect timing. ...I'm planning a water birth....so clearly I don't want such injuries. Hope and pray it heals quick *fingers and toes crossed*
Ohhhh....after the stretch and sweep DH and I had a mini picnic to take my mind off everything and then we went for a walk. It was a lovely end to my day :)
