Wow...time really flies...not exactly when you having fun per say. It is as it stands...ONE MONTH since I've had my lil princess!

THE RECOVERY FROM THE C-SECTION:
I have to say it was a bit of hell this time round. I didn't get my VBAC but I did have a TOLAC and I am very thankful for that and glad that I got to experience labour pains. I got as far as 8cm dilated and then we found that the baby was going into distress (found out after the birth that she had her cord around her neck). 15 hours of labour...and a beautiful 3.92kg baby.
Coming home and recovering was sore then the first time....the first week I was in excruciating pain and even thought because of that I might end up with the baby blues a bit. But I managed and just "drugged" myself to ease the pain. After the second week I started feeling like "myself" again. The pain was easing a bit. So now standing at one month since the operation...I have to say I do feel a lot better and almost like myself :)

THE BABY (BABY BONOLO):
Well...my little princess is indeed a night owl baby...rarely have proper good night's rest. Her sleeping patterns are changing a bit now. She no longer sleeps throughout the day and a little at night. I have no idea how to really change her sleeping patterns and teach her day and night. I'm just hoping with time she does realize.
She's growing well...no issues. She feeds well. Though I think I might be feeding her way too often...lol! But I'm just glad she is growing and clearly picking up weight. Patiently waiting for her 6 weeks check-up and vaccination. Hope all goes well :)

MY IMAGE/WEIGHT:
Well...I am exclusively breastfeeding and I have to say that might be helping with the weight loss. I lost all the 13kilos I had gained during my pregnancy and an extra 2kilos from my "normal weight" so I am slightly weighing less than I weighed before my pregnancy. Yippie! Hope the weight keeps going off :)

OVERALL...I think I'm getting the hang of things and have help from family with my two kids. Though DH isn't working right now him being around to see the kids helps.

I am looking for a new job...so fingers and toes crossed I do find something worthwhile while still on maternity so that I can start at the new job.

Cord around the neck doesn't cause fetal distress unless the umbilical cord is unusually short. That being said though, I'm glad she and you were both alright! :-)

Some people will say that there's ways to get babies on a "regular" sleep cycle, but honestly, I don't believe it lol. I made sure my girl was in the sunshine during the day and took her out for walks and she still slept through most of the day til about three and a half, to four months.
