Water broke

My grandmother (who raised me) died yesterday. We went to the doctor, and got permission to go to the funeral 5 hours away. My cervix was tight and thick. I'm either 37w3d or 36w2d depending on early scan or lmp. My water broke at 35w5d with my daughter, and I had to be out into labor. I asked if anybody had pPROM with their first and made it to due date with their second. Less than 5% have water break first, but if it does, you have an 80% chance of it happening again. Well. Here we are. Waters breaking. Driving back 5 hours to try to get to my doctor as no contractions yet. I am missing the funeral. :(. Wish me luck.

I am so sorry about your grandma :( Mine died 15 yrs ago but she raised me too and I still feel like it was yesterday! I am sorry you missed the funeral too.....I hope your birth went well and you and the baby are fine now! Can't believe you delivered already! I feel like I am close.... 36 weeks for me this week and already 1 cm dialated....my little girl was delivered at 37 so I keep thinking the new one could be here anytime! Trying to get the room ready for both of them this week. Let me know how you are!! |

On a bright side your little one is on the way congrats. Sucks you can't make the funeral but a blessing you bring a lo in the world. Congrats |
