Caroline is Eleven Weeks Old!

A bit late but here’s my update for Princess Caroline’s eleventh week of life. Sweet little thing is trying so hard to sit up on her own so I’ve broke out the Bumbo seat for when we’re playing with her toys or sitting at the dinner table. She’s also really into laughing now. Seriously, she’s such a happy baby! For two relatively high strung people, we’ve been blessed with two very easy kids. Thank goodness. But I have officially bought and diapered my children in the last pair of ones in my lifetime. *Sniffle* It’s going by entirely too fast. Lastly, her size 0-3 month outfits are beginning to get a little short. I didn’t think she was much longer than other babies her age (67% at two months) but buttoning her onesies is getting challenging and her pants are like capris now. Luckily, it’s all on breast milk because she’s still being exclusively breastfeed at nearly three months. *High Fives All Around* Hopefully it’s really as beneficial as they say. In other news, my boy graduated pre-k today (though Friday is his last day of school). I’m too young to have a kindergartener! *Sob* But I’ve already put together a summer schedule and list of activities to keep us all entertained, plus learning time and quiet time. I’ve broken it down into ‘Make it’ Mondays for crafts, ‘Take a Walk’ Tuesdays for hiking and exploring outside, ‘Wet ‘n’ Wild’ Wednesdays, ‘Treat’ Thursdays for a shared yummy not usually allowed on our healthy diets, and ‘Field Trip’ Fridays. If DeWayne doesn’t get that new job he put in for, he’ll be home to help me on Mondays and Fridays and, if he does get it, we’ll have more disposable income for fun and activities. Individual days will have a schedule for snack time and bedtime too so Sebastian doesn’t get frustrated wondering when I can slip away from Care long enough to cook or tuck him in. And it’ll keep him on track for going back to school, since they only get out until the first of August. We have arranged a military centered beach trip to Panama City for over the Fourth of July. I’m so excited! It’ll be my daughter’s first trip and my parents are going so it’ll be even more fun. I’ve been eating so much healthier so maybe I’ll feel more confident seaside by then. Actually that makes me think of a question: Ladies who have tried to slim down while breastfeeding, have any of you noticed difficulty after a while in losing weight? I dropped the first ten pounds easily but now I have been plateaued for two weeks! I’m trying not to limit my calories much because she is depending on me for food but it all comes from fruits and vegetables, some meat, and daily organic extras like milk, cheese, sauces or peanut butter. I have been very picky and thoughtful with my food choices, plus I’m drinking at least 64 ounces of water each day and drinking organic coffee or organic tea otherwise. So I have no idea why I’ve stopped losing, especially since I have added cardio and weight training at least three times a week. Any thoughts? Anyway, I am uploading mine and Caroline’s first ‘mommy and me’ outfit picture. I dressed us alike for a friend’s wedding and it was a huge hit. I can’t get over how many people stop me to compliment my kids. It’s usually on looks but I can’t help but be proud, which I know is shallow. I mean, I know they are perfectly breathtaking but it’s nice to hear others think the same thing. Ha ha!

Love seeing your updates! I always get comments about the twins and it's nice to hear even if it's just about how cute they are. So, I can't give you an good info about losing weight and breastfeeding but I can say that I lost of a ton of weight after they were born and up to about 2-3 months postpartum. At around 12 weeks, I started gaining it back :( I know a lot of women who breastfed who gained a bit back instead of losing. I wonder if it's hormonal or related?
