WOW! Has it really been 6 weeks since my last journal entry?!

Well, as you can see, I am now in my 2nd Trimester. I am still tired all the time, which I was hoping it would be like a light switch and suddenly I would have a burst of energy. Nope. If anything I can't seem to sleep very well. Tossing and turning. Mind racing with things we have to do or just thinking about the baby. I did buy a pregnancy pillow that should be arriving tomorrow. Doubt I will be able to use for a couple of weeks unless I use it for naps...DH is still on days and I don't think he will fit on the bed with the pillow and me. We only have a Full size bed. I am hoping someday real soon we can upgrade to at least a queen.

We have been busy with appts and DH is such a sweetheart, he popped for a specialty ultrasound place called My first Peekaboo http://www.myfirstpeekaboo.com/. The room we went into was HUGE! And had this HUGE projector screen on the wall for us to watch the ultrasound ourselves and really get to see the baby and all his glory. We also had it set up so family can watch from the comfort of their homes. The bed they had me lay on...OMG was it comfy and plushy. I didn't even want to get up. We did the 2 visit package deal and during that visit we learned we are having a BOY!!! We already had his name picked out pretty much before we were Pregnant and while we were TTC. His name is Connor. DH and I have always loved that name.

LOL! We have already bought his nursery bedding set. I saw this great deal through Amazon and didn't want to lose it. Figured it would also be perfect for the Spring as well. It's an Under The Sea theme. And in 2 weeks, during our staycation, DH and I are going to get the nursery furniture. We have heard it can take up to 12 weeks for that to arrive. So we figured best to be safe than sorry. We are also going to start our registry that same week. I figured with my birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, it will make life so much easier if we can get most of it done. Then if people want to get us baby gifts for Christmas or even my birthday they are welcome to. :)

The constipation has definitely lessened. Oh I hope I didn't just jinx myself...lol. I have noticed that if I don't eat that healthy, like if I stop at BK or McDonald's then I tend to regret it later...as tasty as it is. But I also have found that I am not nearly as hungry as I feel I should be. And I am still losing weight. Or staying at the same weight as I was a couple month ago. I had noticed then I was losing and lost about 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. But I haven't gained or lost anymore. And yet Connor is getting bigger and he is growing. So I guess, I must be doing something right. I have heard that after the 20 week mark you tend to start growing more and gaining more and the appetite comes back. I expect it will with the holidays right around the corner...lol. I just hope I don't gain too much more, or at least not more than what I am required. And they say I should gain about 15 lbs due to my pre-pregnancy weight.

I haven't yet felt the baby move. Or at least I don't think so. My mid-back is sore and every once in awhile I will feel a dull pain or pressure but I can't tell if it's Connor or gas or constipation or just the uterus growing. Could be a bit of all of it. I have an Anterior Placenta and the doctor said there is a good chance I wont feel much until much later. Which I am a bit disappointed. But I have heard that I will still feel the baby moving later on. I have felt flutters once or twice but again that could have been gas because that was weeks ago and I know at that time it's too early to feel anything.

I know I still have months to go but I can't wait to meet my little Connor.

How exciting!!! I can attest to that 20 week appetite thing! I started putting on weight around that mark after losing so much. Luckily, the weight gain was slow and steady and then recently exploded! Oh well, it's all for babies! I didn't feel definite baby movements until 20 weeks and they didn't get really strong until I was almost in the 3rd trimester. I was always afraid my extra padding was going to get in the way of feeling them but it really hasn't at this point.
