Tooth extraction, 12 week ultrasound & maybe switching OBs?

After dealing with sleep deprivation due to pain for weeks now, I couldn't hold out any longer and had my wisdom tooth pulled this morning. The procedure went pretty quick. I woke up less than an hour after I got there. The worst part was waking up not knowing that I'd fallen asleep, so I was startled and ended up crying as a result. I hope I'm not the first person to do that. :/

Came home and rested for a few hours, then went to my OB appointment. I got a good ultrasound done on a non-ancient machine this time! At first, baby was sleeping with one of his/her little arms sticking straight up. I guess we woke him/her because he/she did a biiiiiiiig stretch and started waving a couple minutes later! Baby is measuring 2 days ahead this time with a HR of 158.

After the U/S, my OB came in and said the pregnancy is progressing as expected, but he also recommended the Panorama test. When I asked why, he said we were "running out of time to make a decision." I assumed he meant to terminate in the event of chromosomal abnormality and told him I'd consider it, but I probably won't. The only reason I'd do that sort of testing is to find out the gender sooner and that's not worth trying to scrape together $2,000 in the event that my insurance didn't cover it.

So, on a related note, apparently the physicians at the practice I go to ONLY deliver at ONE hospital and it's 40 minutes away in a city I hate. I don't know why I wasn't informed of this up front... seems like that should've been clearly stated BEFORE I decided to be a patient there, don't you think? I'll probably switch to the OB I saw after I lost my little girl. His practice is 20 minutes away, but since he practices IN the hospital where he primarily delivers (and where I was born!) it would be convenient in the end to see him instead. Ugh. So many decisions. :/
