Finding out the sex and seeing my baby for the first time since 8 weeks is all I think about right now! Milestones from this week: felt my first real jab kick (instead of a roll) at 18 w 5 d, and felt my first kick from the outside at 19 w 2 d. It was so unexpected both times. I have been having a good week for the most part, but I tell ya there have been some odd symptoms every day and they always clear up by the next morning. Monday I felt like I had pneumonia, Tuesday I had horrible cramps and toilet issues and in the morning my hands were shaking and I was very dizzy, Wednesday my tailbone was so sore I could barely sit, Thursday my feet were swollen and sore to walk on. Today, I got woken up in the middle of the night by sharp pains in my bowel. I don't know if the baby was tap dancing on them or what. I think it mostly went away now. But now I'm tired because I had trouble falling back asleep. This week we made some good progress on the nursery. We ordered carpet and found someone to install it for a steal. We got our nursery furniture in the mail (now we have the fun of assembling it). We installed the ceiling fan in the nursery. And we installed an attic door in our hallway (we never had an accessible attic until now) so we can use it for storage. Last weekend we shampooed all the carpets in the house, phew. In other (weird) news, we have a fungus gnat infestation in our neighborhood from the farm behind our house, and it has been depressing not being able to go outside without being swarmed. I have a major bug phobia so I pray it goes away soon. We can't open our windows and have to run out the door to keep as many out as possible. Luckily they don't bite. I have almost drank dead ones in my water 3 times now. Gross. Welp, be back Monday for the big reveal!
