Is anyone having trouble sleeping at night in their third trimester?

For the past couple of days, I've been having trouble falling asleep and then waking up in the middle with the baby's kicking. It happened again today at 1 in the morning and I'm just so ready to have this baby born this week! I don't know if I can't wait until 37 weeks. Can anyone relate?

Comment from Celine » Posted Jul. 5, 2018 3:55pm Oh mon Dieu! Wow! Is taking Benedryl okay to take during a pregnancy? Oh mon Dieu!!! Um, should I schedule a c-section, too, at the end of my 36 weeks?
Comment from snolie14 » Posted Jul. 5, 2018 12:32pm Oh, I barely sleep at all! My FitBit reminds me every morning of the lack of sleep I get. I am averaging a little over 5 hours but I am lucky if I manage more than 20 minutes of deep sleep. Lack of deep sleep really makes me sluggish and tired ALL day long. I take a Benedryl before bed on nights I don't feel tired, and that helps me fall asleep. I think it's our body's way of preparing us for the lack of sleep that is coming once our little ones make their arrivals. I am scheduled to have my cesarean hysterectomy 7/18 - and every day closer, I get more and more anxiety for this complicated surgery. Damn placenta previa and accreta. Hope you get some rest!!
Comment from MrsFord » Posted Jul. 4, 2018 8:19pm Celine, you shouldn’t be induced at all unless your doctor tells you there is a medical need for it. Good luck!
Comment from Celine » Posted Jul. 4, 2018 8:16pm Wait, does that mean I'm going to be having the baby soon? Should I also get induced toward the end of my 36 weeks or the 2nd day of 37 weeks?
Comment from Celine » Posted Jul. 4, 2018 7:19pm You too? Tell me about it!!! Wow! You are? Congratulations!!! I agree, babylove14. This pregnancy has been quite a roller coaster.
Comment from babylove14 » Posted Jul. 4, 2018 1:50am I mean i get induced July 15
Comment from babylove14 » Posted Jul. 4, 2018 1:49am I am having problems sleeping. It's been at a couple weeks now. I'm tired enough without insomnia and now I have contractions waking me up or keeping me from going to sleep. I know our bodies practice before the big day but I just wish it would either turn into labor or let me sleep! I get induced July q6 if he doesn't come by then though. We just gotta stay positive. It's almost over! |
