Announced Baby's Gender to Family
As soon as we found out, my husband was on the phone texting everyone he was having another boy :) When we left the doctor's office, I sent my mom a text letting her know it was a boy with a picture of the ultrasound attached. She was still working, and I was too impatient to wait to tell her!

Picked a Name
As soon as we found out it was another boy, we decided upon naming him Richard Anthony McCormick, III because my husband didn't have any babies named after him yet. Plus, he wants to keep the name going.

Prental Tests: Glucose Challenge Test
Did the 3 hour glucola test today. HORRIBLE tasting stuff. I think the drink itself was much worse than having to get my blood drawn four different times.

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
I realized all of my jeans (except for a couple) stopped fitting, so I bought a maternity dress and two shirts. I love them!

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I was sitting on my bed on my laptop and felt a sudden thump in the bottom center of my uterus - and immediately I knew what it was. After birthing 4 children in the past, I KNOW the feeling. I am amazed that I am feeling it at 7.5 weeks along - but anything is possible! I felt some flutters this morning in the same area as well. This was a happy moment for me!

First Prenatal Appointment
Had my very first prenatal appt today, 8/18/15, with my Midwife. Got bloodwork done, an ultrasound, and spoke with my midwife for a while. In two weeks I go back for a pap smear and to go over the bloodwork results.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
When I heard the beautiful, strong sound of the heartbeat, I immediately cried. There was nothing else in the world at that moment that could have meant more than spending those five seconds listening to the rythm of my baby's heartbeat. Such a beautiful sound.

First Ultrasound
At first, I was nervous going into the ultrasound room because I just wanted everything to show up perfect on the screen, and it did. I adored the experience of seeing my little bean for the first time, the perfect lottle body growing as it should, and the proud feeling I had when I realized, "We are doing good." This baby means a great deal to me, I love him/her to pieces already. Praying for a safe, healthy remainder to my pregnancy.

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
I work from home as a freelance writer blogger, and although I am in business for myself, I work with a media manager who assigns me topics for three of the brands I work for. She and I have developed somewhat of a close relationship over the past few years, and when I found out I was pregnant, I told her a few days later. She was excited and happy for us!

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Announced pregnancy to my husband, mother, and sister in law. Still have to tell my kids, and my father in law! Getting there :)

On July 30, 2015 at 4 weeks 3 days pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
After my husband got home from work, I had him sit down on our bed and turn his head the other way. I then laid three + pregnancy tests out on the bed - two of which I took at home, the other which I had taken at the doctor, and was allowed to keep. He was shocked, to say the least!

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I was perusing the aisles of the Dollar Store when it hit me: My period was 4 days late. For the heck of it, I decided to buy two Dollar Store brand $1 pregnancy tests. I never in a million years thought they would have came back positive, as I have a condition that my doctor said it would take a 'miracle from God' for me to ever get pregnant again, due to scar tissue. When the pink spread across the test strip, and two dark pink lines came up, I think I stopped breathing for a minute. Followed that test up with a second test directly afterwards because I thought the first test was faulty - sure enough, it came back positive! Followed up with a test at the doctor the day afterwards, and that came back positive as well.

I loved reading your birth plan. You gave me some ideas, because I still haven't written mine. Hope everything is still going well!!

Twin life is CRAZY! It's hard most days but I don't know anything else so it's my normal. I always joke to my husband that taking care of 1 baby at this point would be a breeze. We are glad there are here but I am ready for them to be a bit older. But I know I will miss this stage so I am just trying to enjoy all, the good and bad.

Thank you for the note on my page as well. Congratulations on your new pregnancy! Safe and healthy journey to you! As I have a large family as well - 5 living kids - (only having given birth to one of them, but they are all precious to me) - I know the excitement of adding to your brood. My 5 yr old asks me every day if I'm "growing another baby for him yet". :) I miss Oscar every day, and I'm not religious, but I do know that everything that happens to you makes you who you are, so I don't regret a thing. Thank you for your kind words, and I hope to join you in this journey again in a few months.

Thank you for the comment you left in my page! We never truly know why tragedy happens especially when it comes to losing a child, but I too have faith that GOD has his reasons. Although the pain can be unbearable sometimes, I have faith that GOD does not give us what we can't handle. I've never been a religious person but I have Faith. After losing my son and the prayers I have received has made me realize that there must be a GOD because he has heard my cries and the prayers that were said for me by the amazing women on here and through close friends and allowed me to have this child in me now. We all have our struggles, but having life in you is a miraculous miracle!! Looking forward to following you through your journey!! <3
