Baby Shower
My original baby shower was canceled as my friend who was hosting testing positive for COVID. But my amazing sisters-in-law still threw me a surprise baby shower and I couldn't be more grateful for it! We had a great time :)

Finished the Nursery
Finally have things mostly in order except for maybe last minute organizing. I'm loving his woodland themed nursery!! I would like to get a few decorations and probably rearrange a couple things, but everything is ready!

Picked a Name
It took us a LONG time to decide on a boy name!! I had a girl name picked out before we were even pregnant LOL: she was going to be named after my grandma, Bonnie. A boy name was harder for sure! But, we finally decided on Bruce and we love it! It's a strong Scottish name like my hubby wanted (he's mostly of Scottish background) and it isn't heard of everyday.

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
Had a gender reveal at my brother-in-law's house warming party since the whole family was already together. Everyone swore it was a girl, and they were surprised when it was blue!!

Bought Baby's First Outfit
Bought a super hero 3 pack (batman, superman, and flash), they were so cute and only $8!! then Sunday I bought him a fox sleeper since woodland is his theme.

Found Out Baby's Gender
Found out through blood work results. Ultrasound on Friday confirmed. :) I'm staying a boy mom and that's fine with me <3

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
My pants stopped buttoning and I was using the rubber band trick, but they were still uncomfortable. Maternity pants are far better right now!!

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
very first time hearing the heartbeat and found it on my home doppler!!! so relieved!!!! 163 bpm

First Ultrasound
OMG, what a moment! I was so worried and scared that I would receive bad news AGAIN! But, when she showed me that little white flicker of a heartbeat at 118bpm, tears of relief filled my eyes and now I can finally breath easy, I can finally be excited and happy!! And I can finally tell my two boys <3 Stay sticky and healthy little rainbow bean!!On August 5, 2020 at 6 weeks 2 days pregnant
Told Our Kids
Since the ultrasound went well and there was finally a heartbeat, we felt confident enough to tell our boys! They were thrilled!! Their reactions made me cry tears of joy <3 On August 3, 2020 at 6 weeks 0 days pregnant
First Prenatal Appointment
Scheduled the ultrasound for sometime later this week. Doc says levels are looking good this time, but I'm still worried about getting bad news again after my ultrasound... I'm still afraid to be happy or excited....

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Since we have had 5 miscarriages, everyone is very cautiously happy. Announcing our pregnancy seems to have lost it's spark of happiness and excitement... But, so far so good with this little rainbow nugget :)

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
My mom is actually my boss and I told her pretty early, because she knows I have to get a lot of blood work done and such, so she had to know why I kept leaving for lunch when I normally don't LOL!

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Super light and faint, but it was there! I was expecting to start my period soon, but haven't had a normal cycle since a chemical/miscarriage in June, so I was off a couple weeks on when to expect AF. I know I had a positive OPK July 7th, thinking I should've been pregnant around that week. But that must've been when I ovulated :)

Told Husband/Partner
Told husband as soon as I got a positive test, as I wasn't expecting it since my timing was off after a miscarriage in June. I had to have him double check the test because I was in shock LOL. He didn't want to get excited right away, but as the tests darkened he became happier
