On March 24, 2014 at 35 weeks 6 days pregnant
Packed for the Hospital/Birth Center
Really felt the need to get things ready to go. LOL Last time we went early and didn't have anything packed. This time I'm getting prepared.

Baby Shower
Had a beautiful pink baby shower thrown by my friends Amber and Becky, my almost sister-in-law Rynn and my mom. Had fun playing games, eating some yummy food, designing onesies and opening up gifts. I am so blessed to have all those that attended in my life. This little girl is going to be so loved.

Bought Baby's First Outfit
OMG! Baby girl clothes are the cutest!! Going to go broke if I'm not careful-so much adorable stuff out there.

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
We found out the gender the day before Thanksgiving, so we wanted to tell our families when we were all together. We hadn't told our 3 year old yet either (he can't keep a secret), so we wanted a way to announce that would include him. He had make a turkey at preschool, so I decided to copy that using only pink or blue paper for the feathers. I then put the turkey in a bag and had him open it in front of everyone. Our turkey had pink feathers-yup we're having a girl! Everyone started yelling in excitement. It was a very fun way to share the news.

First Prenatal Appointment

First Ultrasound
Got to see the baby for the first time today. Saw his/her little heartbeat. It's amazing that at only 8 weeks, you can see the heart beating. Doc said everything looked good.

Announced Pregnancy to Family
Told my parents I had some cute pictures of our son on my phone for them to look at. The pics also included one of the positive HPT that said Pregnant. Thought it was a good plan to let them know, but my mom scrolled right past it without reading it. I had to say did you see... and then she scrolled again and read it. She gave out a little yelp and then gave me a big hug. They are excited for us.

Told Husband/Partner
Told my husband I bought our son something new and to take a look. He opens up the shirt and it says "Big Bro". He looked at me and said "Really?" I just smiled big and said yes! He knew we were trying hard this month, but I tried to keep things under wraps so he'd be surprised.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
Was pretty sure I was pregnant...the week after I conceived I ate 3 cheeseburgers, which is more than I ate in probably 3 years! Took internet cheapie in the morning and got 2nd line. So excited, so went and bought digital test and took it that afternoon at work. Positive came up within a minute.
