Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I have felt my baby move for a few weeks, but this morning was the FIRST time I felt her on the outside with my hand on my belly!! It felt amazing <3

Found Out Baby's Gender
Omar and myself went to the doctor so we could get a full anatomy scan of the baby. Of course Omar wanted a boy, but it turns out we are having a little GIRL! We knew it as soon as we saw it on the screen, before the ultrasound tech even told us! We are SO excited!!

My mom was 1000% sure I was having a boy, but boy was she wrong :) We are having a GIRL

Picked a Name
It was pretty difficult for us to choose a name. It had to be from the Arabic origin, and we couldnt agree on anything! Finally, we agreed on Layla, which is after his grandmother.

First Prenatal Appointment
Went for my first prenatal appointment. It went well, other than they found a "trace" of protein in my urine. My doctor was very nice. Heard the baby's heartbeat 160bpm. Took a few minutes to find the heartbeat due to my tilted uterus.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Well I didn't technically hear the heartbeat, I saw it on the screen. It was 169 bpm! 9w1d

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I kept feeling like Aunt Flow was going to come to town, but she never did. I had mild cramps, sore breasts, and did not feel too good. Finally on Christmas Eve, I decided to take a test my friend gave me a while back. 2 pink lines showed up. I was thinking "no way", so I drove to walgreens and bought 5 more tests. They all came up positive!!On December 24, 2013 at 5 weeks 0 days pregnant
