Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
Hubby FINALLY felt her move this morning! She was moving around so I told him to put his hand on my belly. She turned over a few times and he definitely felt her!

Found Out Baby's Gender

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
We used cupcakes with pink frosting in the centre to announce to our families that we were expecting a little girl. :)

Twice in one day! Once by the cleaning lady at work and then that evening someone offered me their seat on the bus after looking pointedly at my belly. :)

Anatomy Ultrasound
Everything looks good - (s)he is still cooking in there, everything is proportionate and measuring right on track. We are now the proud owners of an envelope telling us the gender of the baby - which we will not open until Christmas morning. :)

Everything seems to be well. Screen negative results. :)
Also got to hear the heartbeat again at this appointment - nice and strong at 158 BPM.

First Kick (or Punch)
Sitting at my desk this morning and felt a strong THUMP in my lower abdomen. It repeated again a few seconds later. This was a much stronger feeling that the fluttering I felt last week.... <3

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
While not exclusively wearing maternity clothes, my jeans were tight yesterday and uncomfortable. I switched to maternity pants this morning and am loving them! Sooo comfy!

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I was at the movies on a date with my husband. The movie was fairly loud and had a lot of bass. I felt lots of flutters in my lower abdomen... I've been feeling them off and on for a while but this was definitely longer and more pronounced. The movie kind of sucked, but I was smiling the whole time.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
With a doppler during our first prenatal appointment... 145 beats per minute. It was magical and very reassuring. :)

11w3d - got to see a strong heartbeat of 169 BPM, plus the baby waved and moved around. Heart = melted.On October 6, 2014 at 10 weeks 1 day pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to Family

A meet and great, question and answer meeting. Will be scheduled for our first prenatal soon. :)

First Positive Pregnancy Test
It was my hubby's birthday, and even though I was only 9DPO I thought it would be a fun surprise. I tested and was shocked that it was positive so early. I put the test in a box with a note that said "Happy Birthday Daddy! I can't wait to meet you. May 3rd 2014"
