Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
I live for active wear and lounge clothing, and so far I've managed to squeeze into suits and skirts for business and church. But today I fought a losing battle to zip my favorite church skirt, and was forced into my first maternity outfit despite my best efforts. And so starts day one of my maternity wardrobe, halfway into my pregnancy. At least on sundays, anyway.

Started Childbirth Classes
Nothing I haven't heard/seen before. Not exactly impressed with the idea that there is "one right way" to do things. If my OH would allow it, I'd be tempted to do this all at home.

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
Turkey Day Tickles! Although I've been feeling little "pops" of pain since 13 weeks as he pushed against my cysts, the pain started to turn into strong pushes and kicks by thanksgiving as my uterus grew up and away from my poor ovaries. Just one more thing to be grateful for!

First Prenatal Appointment
MOVEMENT. I never expected it this early but you flexed your spine and wiggled your little leg-buds. I felt so afraid of how my life was about to change with this pregnancy, but seeing you move filled my heart with love and pride.

I have a booklet of papers to go through, bloodwork to process, and testing to decide on. Lucky for you I'm immune to Rubella, not a carrier for CF, and I've had the chickenpox. So far, so good.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Yesterday was my first time hearing you, but today, while checking up on a pesky ovarian cyst, the tech let me listen to your beautiful little heart for a few minutes since we were already poking around. MSD 3.1cm, CRL 0.77cm, HR 126 bpm, and mommy is already overanalyzing your vitals and measurements. So far, so good!

First Ultrasound
The on-call OB refused to look for your heartbeat and didn't want to give me this print, but I fought for it even though she said it's "too early to be deemed viable," and "there's no point." You are the point, and I'm not listening to her.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
After 3 days of persistent nausea, I knew in my heart it was time to take a test. My rainbow at 10DPO! Who could have guessed that the cycle I gave up is the cycle my dream would come true.
