On August 21, 2012 at 38 weeks 3 days pregnant
Went Into Labour
After being induced and having my waters broken at 3pm my labour started fairly quickly.
I was being given drugs to help with labour via IV, the Midwife was increasing the amount given per hour to help increase my contractions.
She then had to switch off the IV as I was contracting too much.
By 6pm I was 4cm dilated and by 10pm I was the full 10cm, after that it was just a waiting game.
On August 19, 2012 at 38 weeks 1 day pregnant
Induced into Labour
Labour induced with pessary at 12:30 in the afternoon, almost immediately I started having contractions which grew stronger as the day went on. After 24 hours they checked my cervix which as I suspected was exactly the same as when they put the pessary in.
They then gave me the gel and came back 6 hours later for another check, my cervix was still unfavourable. After 30minutes hooked up to the CTG they decided that I had to wait for another 2 hours for more gel as I was still contracting.
After the second gel they checked me 8 hours later and I was almost 3 cm dilated so it was time to move to labour and delivery.
They broke my waters at 3pm and hooked me up to the IV to help bring on contractions which came on fast and strong.

Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
We've been trying to feel her together for about three weeks and she just wasn't playing!
Finally! We got a big kick that was super obvious and I thought he was going to cry!
Not long till she's born yay!

Found Out Baby's Gender

Bought Baby's First Outfit
Well baby's first pink outfit anyway!
Robert couldn't attend the scan so I found out the gender on my own.
Then went straight to Mothercare and bought a little dress with tiny wee pants and wrapped it up (not in pink paper of course) and let him open the present to find out the gender!
