Alice Jean's Birth Story
Had been feeling nauseous all day and did nothing but lay around. Eventually I ended up throwing up and right after that it felt like I had pee'd my pants. Went to the bathroom and saw that the fluid was pink-ish and called the doctors office who instructed me to go up to labor & delivery. Once I got out of the car at the hospital, my entire water broke for Alice. I got up stairs and they checked me, I was dilated to 3. They started giving me meds to try and stop labor as I was only 33 weeks along then decided to send me toi the children's hospital in a big city nearby. Once I got to the next hospital (via ambulance ride- holy bumpy!) they situated me in a room and checked me again, dilated to 5. So we decided to do an emergency c-section to get the girls out with the least trauma to them. Water break to delivery was only 5 hours and if I never feel a contraction again, I will be happy!|
