Hollie Jasmine Rose Davis's Birth Story

On 10 May 2012, I went into hospital at 0330 in morning, as had excrucitating pains as well as blood in my urine and small amount of bleeding. I was scared as I thought I was in labour at 27 weeks.

On arrival, I was put on to the monitor, which showed it wasn't contractions but stronger BH's. I had a scan to check on baby and she was fine. I was then told not to move as I had a catheter, due to my urinary infection coming back.
At 4pm, the pains were back. The consuitant said that if they got any stronger, then they would have to deliver Hollie to stop her from getting distressed.

By around 6pm my waters suddenly broke. It felt as if I had wet the bed. At 6.15pm I was in full labour and fuily dilated. I was taken into the delivery suite at 6.45pm, as I was now stronlgy contracting. Within 30 minutes of intense pushing and breathing (using gas and air), our beautiful daughter, Hollie arrived. I saw her very briefly as she was warmed up and taken through to the neonatal ward. I also heard a little cry, so I knew she was going to be OK.

She is to be in there for at least 6 weeks, or until she has gained a good amount of weight. She is on oxygen as well being fed through a tube. She is doing very well and is a very strong and gorgeous little girl.
