The Flu and pregnancy
By Krod0519 » Posted Jan. 28, 2014 12:34pm - 295 views - 3 comments

Today I am 11 weeks and I have been having the WORST stomach flu ever, I basically puked all day yesterday to the point of bad dehydration and fatigue. i could barely even walk. What a nightmare. I caught it from my little sweet pea, she is 2. Seeing her sick and vomit was the most saddening thing ever, broke my heart. Anyways, I am back at work today and still feel like death walking. i am beyond nauseous and mt back is killing me, i assume from being hunched over the toilet all day yesterday. Funny part is my honey also got the bug and so we spent the day together, sick and in bed, what a wonderful day off lol.
So because I am ultra on edge this pregnancy I made an appt to see my Dr tomorrow. I can't help but worry, I need to have reassurance my LO is ok and bc I was so sick I couldn't really tell the difference between flu and pregnancy symptoms.. it scares me..
I hope and pray to god that when I see my Dr tomorrow she will be able to find my LO right away and it will be good..

Oh gees, that just sounds completely miserable!! :( I'm glad your dr will see you and make sure that everything is still going well with your little bean. I hope you feel better soon - try to get some rest!

This is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy - pregnancy and flu. I'm so sorry! Ick!
I love my doc for allowing me the reassurance when I need it. It's so comforting. I'm sure everything is fine, but you'll feel even better once you know for yourself.
Wishing you and your family and QUICK recovery!
