29w3d - Perinatologist Growth Scan #1

This morning was very exciting, however I was a nervous wreck. This is the 1st ultrasound I had to do on my own this pregnancy. My Anxiety kicks in when I have to do ultrasounds... my brain associates it to when I lost Connor. I can no longer just be really excited, I fear the worst. I had to call my Mom after leaving the office to calm my anxiety even though I had Great News!
They did the 3d ultrasound today and let me say... Waterworks! I had tears of joy dripping down my face. Mathew is so handsome... he is a good mix of me and my hubby although he looks very much like my 1st born, Preston! Talk about Deja Vu! That made me even more teary eyed! It was a great morning even with High anxiety.
The Perinatologist, Dr. Matta said everything is going very well and that the chances of what happened last time are not likely. Amniotic fluid is normal and Mathew is growing proportionately. He is 2 lb 17 oz. and is average. I was told he is going to be around the same weight as my 1st born which was 6lb 6 oz which is nice to hear! My 1st was a very easy delivery. Mathew is head down in the "ready" position. 39 weeks can't come soon enough! Next growth scan is on Dec 28.
