Strep B positive and breech...
By ravilma » Posted Feb. 2, 2012 5:46am - 370 views - 0 comments
So... We made it so far and now we are dealing with Strep B and a breech position of the baby. Which out rules the water birth I was so hoping for :-(. On a good note, baby is fine. Seeing the consultant next Friday to discuss the options of delivery! Either the ECV (trying to turn the baby) and have a vaginal birh (yes please) or possible c-section date (not so chuffed about)! In either way, I will have to be monitored closely and put on I.V. antibiotics during the labour. Uaaaa...it is going to be so different from what I was hoping for... With my first child I had a lovely water birth - no problems at all. Don't they say: "Every pregnancy is different."? LOL! I just want the baby to be safe and that's what matters the most though...
Next update - next Friday!
