Officially 18 weeks today. can't believe how quickly this is going. I remember when we were waiting to tell our families, it seems like time just stood still, but I can't believe I am 4 1/2 months. I had my 2nd trimester scan a couple of days ago and the babies look good. one heart rate was 147 and the other 152. I brought my mother in law with me. it was a very special visit. she was extremely excited. I do have to return in 3 weeks to get a better picture of the heart valves, but other than that, they look great. I am soooo thrilled. I am starting to think about the nursery. starting to think about the décor. We are doing classic Winnie the Pooh. We figured it was neutral enough considering we are not going to find out what we are having.
How am I feeling? well this morning I was sick to my stomach, now I can't stop eating. I'm craving off things. For example, this morning I had egg whites and avocado on a toasted bun. now I am munching on garlic and spinach crackers with all natural peanut butter. weird. taste good though... :) my back has been more achy and I've been getting a lot of lower abdominal cramping. I'm having a hard time getting comfortable in bed. last night I slept with a pillow under my belly and that seemed to help. I think it might be time to invest in a body pillow.
