38 weeks & 95% complete!..membrane sweep?

I am 38w+1d today and 95%....OMG! It's really hitting me that this is for real happening...and soon! We've got everything set up for baby and fully moved into our new place so now all there is to do is wait. It was nice having things to organize and set up after the move cause it kept me busy but now I've got nothing to do all day and it's making the days drag on so slowly. These last 2 weeks are going to be so painfully slow. I don't like playing the waiting game. I'm trying to keep busy but there's just not a whole lot to do around here. I have been taking the dog for more walks to keep busy and to hopefully get things moving but I can't take very long walks cause I have to pee so badly and it's super hot outside.
At my last doctor appointment, my OB said I will have the option of getting a membrane sweep at my next one which is on Friday. I will be 38w+5d. I am contemplating whether or not I should do it. My doctor said it will only work in starting labor if my body is ready anyways so I figure it can't hurt. But on the other hand I'm worried it could cause infection or just cause unproductive contractions and pain if my body isn't ready. I still have a few days to think about it...
