12 Week Scan

Unbelievable day today. Got to hear the galloping heartbeat of a healthy looking baby. Perfect measurements. Heartbeat 159. The tech was doing the NT scan and needed me to cough to 'wake the baby'. The baby would move, turn over, wave his arms around whenever I would do it. The tech, who was pretty pregnant herself, wasn't too chatty but would laugh occasionally at the baby. I will post ultrasound pics later, as I'm at work now, but had to let it out!!! DH was just the happiest person in the world and pointing out the hands and feet as they moved across the screen. He was asking a zilliion questions during the procedure and while I was away in the ladies room and took pictures of the ultrasound as soon as she handed them to him. ;-D Very happy father. I had to tell her, "This is our first" to explain all the craze in the room. Team Cloud 9.
Most amazing thing I've ever seen, ohmygoodness! We could see the nose, hands, feet, thighs, heartbeat, just everything. I'm in a trance for the most part, really. We sat with the doctor for a little while and he answered all of our questions. With my sister's recent miscarriage I didn't know what to expect and mostly dreaded today. Bleeding issue seem to have resolved. Placenta seems to be in the right place.
All this time I haven't had any symptoms and the baby has been okay and growing the entire time. I was so scared. My boobs have grown but that's IT. Just nothing. Both tech and doctor say that's fine and not uncommon. It turns out all is well!!! Thanks for all your prayers and support! Pics coming soon!
