So I had my ultrasound yesterday at 7wks 4days. It went well. We saw the heart beating. We only saw one baby but the Dr wants me to come back in two weeks. He said it was too early to accurately date my pregnancy and it would be much better in a few weeks. Kind of strange...with my fourth I had a dating u/s at 6wks. I suppose every Dr is different though. When we got home my dh asked me if I thought the Dr was acting funny? I did but I thought it was just me. During the u/s he didn't really look at the baby much...he focused on the yolk sack and talked about that for several minutes. Then he pointed out a small blood clot near the implantation site. He assured me it was very common and harmless and was probably the cause of my previous spotting. I don't believe he's hiding anything that may be going wrong with the pregnancy as he didn't put me on pelvic rest or any kind of restrictions. Dh seems to think the Dr saw something and wants to confirm with another u/s before telling us. I got this feeling too. The Dr was acting kinda off when he started looking around. He didn't even give me a pic of the u/s! He said next time I would get lots of pics and there just wasn't anything to see right now. I suppose hubby and I are just paranoid! Here's to another 2 week wait!

The woman was nice enough but didn't offer us a picture... I'm with you, even if it's a yolk sac, it's my yolk sac!. |
