Heard the Heartbeat

Had an appointment yesterday to have blood drawn for routine prenatal tests. The best part of the whole thing though was that I got to hear my little's heartbeat for the first time. It took my doctor a minute or so to find it due to it being such a small target. It sounded extremely whooshy in there, so much so my doctor said it sounded like a snow storm in my belly. Haha. Anyway she finally found it and it was soft but strong. She said it was in the 140s and predicted a boy because of it. I'm taking that with a grain of salt though because she said the same thing at 12 weeks with my daughter. Overall, all checked out fine and I should have blood results back some time next week. Hope all are doing well!
