BOY!!!!! I'm so thrilled!!!! What's even better is that everything checked out perfectly. With big sister, I had a two vessel cord instead of a three vessel one so I had to go to a different clinic in a larger city to get a level II ultrasound and then have 'check-up' ultrasounds every month to check her growth and development. Her placenta was also posterior and low-lying which meant even more monitoring. Not so much for being posterior but for being so close to my cervix. It was a great pregnancy overall, but it was stressful at the same time. In the end, my placenta moved far enough away from my cervix so as to not need a c-section and her growth was right on track the rest of the pregnancy. She's actually been between the 90th-98th percentiles for height/length since birth. Her weight has been around the 50th percentile at all her well checks since birth also. So much stress for nothing!!
Little man's cord has three vessels and my placenta is anterior. I don't feel his movements as strongly as I did my daughter's, but I definitely feel several kicks and jabs throughout the day. My scan was at 19 weeks 1 day and when all of his measurements were averaged he measured at exactly 20 weeks. Tall little guy! The due date predicted by the ultrasound machine was August 18th rather than the 24th. I'll take either as long as he gets here safe and sound! Happy and healthy pregnancies to all here and all those still trying!!!!!!
