I'm happy and thankful my pregnancy has been progressing well. I had another appointment last Tuesday and all looked fine. He is head down (yay!), his kick counts are normal, his heart beat was in the 160s, my weight gain is still in check, my fundal height measured right at 31cm (I'm 31 weeks), my blood pressure was good, and I have very little swelling. I'm attributing the lack of swelling to not being at work on my feet all day. With DD, I worked up until 38 weeks. My feet looked like sausages every day!
I'm able to sleep through the night without getting up to use the bathroom a million times like I did when I was pregnant with DD. I probably need to be more hydrated but I feel like a already drink about 100 fl oz a day already. I get heartburn pretty easily, especially when I lay on my right side, and I can tell my ligaments are loosening because my pelvis feels different. Not painful, just more lax. My varicose veins in my lower legs look so gross! Much worse than the first time. But hopefully they'll get a bit better after little man arrives.
I still plan to go through this as naturally as possible. No epidural this time. My husband keeps telling me I've done this once before. Yes, I have, but that doesn't make it less scary. Hope all is going well for all of you!!!
