I feel like I broke up with Food.

My relationship with food has died.
I don't even go in the kitchen anymore. I had cereal this morning and couldn't even rinse my own fucking bowl. What a loser! I haven't cooked anything for almost a month. I'm surprised my husband hasn't moved home to his parents simply for hot, home cooked dinners.
I miss searching pinterest for recipes. I miss planning Holiday baking. I miss Sunday dinners.
But I can't cook. I can barely open the refrigerator. And NOTHING sounds good except fresh strawberries - which are NOT in season right now.
Sad face. :(

Comment from emmapeal9 » Posted Dec. 12, 2013 11:35am My poor husband's idea of cooking is making mac and cheese out of the box. And, he's lactose intolerant He has been VERY sweet though. When I felt guilty for falling asleep last night after work and never cooking he said, "That's not true. You made pancakes last weekend." I married the right guy. :)
Comment from jennavee » Posted Dec. 12, 2013 11:29am I totally understand how you feel! Most days I don't cook at all. My husband made beef stew last night, and it made me realize how little I prepare food anymore! The smells really get to me, and I don't really want to eat at all. Ugh.
Comment from emmapeal9 » Posted Dec. 12, 2013 11:03am I found whole grain saltines and gingersnaps are helping. Those get boring...but I'm not craving anything except strawberries. Go figure. I hope I'm back to my domestic kitchen self during the second trimester.
Comment from Krod0519 » Posted Dec. 12, 2013 11:00am I need to eat less, I am the piggy lately! Hope you feel better soon though, try some crackers and sparkling water maybe?
Comment from mrsamanda » Posted Dec. 12, 2013 6:47am Nothing sounds good to me either. I have noticed I've been eating way less than usual. I try to force myself to eat SOMETHING even if it isn't the healthiest. Atleast it's something and my stomach isn't nauseous AND growling. |
