Upper Abdominal Pain

I've been having severe upper abdominal pain since Tuesday afternoon. It's a radiating pain that starts in the center of my belly, between the sternum and the belly button and radiates around my sides and into my back as if my muscles are attacking me. The pain lasts about 30 seconds and comes every 20 to 30 minutes or so.
I called the docs office and the nurse thinks it's nausea related and may not be gallbladder as the pain is so centralized and not on my right side. I'm waiting for the on call doc to call me back and we'll see what's next.
Kinda scary. I hope the Peep is ok in there!
