What is up with my nipples!?

The left one feels like its splitting open some mornings...as if the earth has opened in a giant crack to reveal molten lava.
I thought it was the lotion I've been using after the shower, but I've ceased for over 3 days and this morning...STILL - terrible, stinging, burning, splitting, cutting, awful pain.

I asked my doctor and it is just the beginnings of colustrum being expressed and drying. She said the dried bits are probably what is causing the discomfort. Do you notice anything like that? |
