Doctor Visit, Heart rate monitor and Glucose test
By emmapeal9 » Posted May. 8, 2014 11:15pm - 166 views - 1 comment

Well, I failed my glucose test. I go back for the 3 hour on Monday morning. I'm beginning to think the anxiety I've been feeling is actually due to GD. I'm almost positive I have it. So I'd better start changing my eating habits now.

My doc would not write me a note for work. She said there is no medical reason I can't work. I got very upset. She's ordered a heart rate monitoring for 24 hours because of what I described as anxiety. I pick it up tomorrow at 10:00. My blood pressure was up at the doc's office. Not a ton, but enough that I noticed. I asked doc about when we'd be able to tell about our little buddy's position. She said she really doesn't care until 36 weeks and if he doesn't turn we'll just do a C-section. Just like that. No big deal. I don't know if she was tired and I was her last patient but I DID NOT care for her attitude.

Anyway, DH and I discussed it and I plan to call my boss tomorrow to let him know that based on my blood pressure and stress level, we decided it's best that I stop working in order to avoid potential bed rest. That should suffice.

Not the greatest week. Ready for a new one.

God that sucks! Nothing's worse than a doctor with an attitude when you're already not having the best of days. Hopefully you pass the 3 hour test.
