It's a GOOD Monday!

Had a doc appointment today. She likes my blood glucose numbers and is confident I can maintain on my own through diet and without medication. YAY!
I should hear from the cardiologist to schedule a consult sometime tomorrow. The better I feel with my blood sugar regulated, the more I'm feeling that the heart issues were a direct result of extremely low and extremely high blood glucose levels.
Doc talked about doing another ultrasound at 36 weeks to determine baby's size (and decide about vaginal vs. C-section birth). I'm trying to stay positive about this and not stress until we get to a steadfast/hard decision. She did, however, talk about the gestational diabetes and how that affects my due date. Apparently, as a result of the GD, I won't be going beyond 39 weeks...they will induce at that point unless I go into labor on my own.
I'm certainly excited that I have some dates to work with (I'm a planner by nature), but it does make things very real and a bit scary and exciting. Our buddy will be here in 8 weeks. HOLY SHIT! I can't wait to look into his little eyes. <3

Jenna -I've been thinking of you a ton! Keep wondering when we'll see a post that you are welcoming your new one. Looking back, the whole process has gone by quickly, but while you're in the thick of it - feeling huge and not sleeping, it takes a long time. |
