Happy Chinese New Years - Unhappy Sausage Fingers
By chehowca » Posted Feb. 5, 2014 7:50am - 179 views - 4 comments

I went out yesterday with a whole bunch of co-workers to celebrate Chinese New Years, the year of the horse. (Extra special because I have "My Little Pony" on board.) I think there was at least 40 people there. We had all ordered a dish, you get your dish first and them you pass it around family style for everyone to have a sample. OMG I ate so much and my stomach was so rock hard (take that! *planks*) after eating so much. This morning though, oh my, do I have sausage fingers. I will be drinking a LOT of water today. I also packed a lovely and healthful bag of food for work today.

DS is on the mend. He had a very nasty cold with cough and had been running a low grade fever for 2 days. In the morning, I had asked DH (who was most awesomely staying at home with DS so that I could save my sick days for the pregnancy) to take DS to the doctor. DS has previously had pneumonia and or ear infections, so whenever he has a cough a fever that lasts a few days I need him checked out by the doctor. I get a call at work from DH saying that he might not take Alex because he didn't seem that bad. I called back immediately and demanded that DH take him. (Mother's intuition and all). It's a good thing too. Turns our that DS did have an ear infection, was tested for strep (but I don't think that's it) and his lungs checked out clear. Love him dearly, but honestly, DH needs to listen to me more!!! :)
