Valerie is 2 months old!

Valerie is now 2 months old! She is getting so big on me! She hit a growth spurt this last week. She still wears 0-3 month onsies and pants, but she's too long for 0-3 month sleepers now. When she stretches out, there is about an inch and a half gap at the sleeves and her legs just don't fit at all. So I get to go clothes shopping for bigger sleepers. Thankfully our local Once Upon A Child is having a big $1 clearance sale on sleepers and onsies, so I can go stock up on larger sizes. Valerie is also smiling all the time now. She loves it when her brothers talk to her, and she especially loves Daddy cuddles. She will just smile and coo up a storm when Daddy holds her. She is such a Daddy's girl. Her hair is also starting to come in red. My phone won't let me upload a picture, but when I get a chance, I'll hop on the computer and add one. She has her first round of shots next week, and I am not looking forward to it. I'm tempted to tell my husband to see if he can switch days off with someone so he can take her. It makes me feel bad when any of my kids get shots and they look at me like I'm horrible for letting the nurse hurt them.
Afm post surgery, I am healing up decently. They made 3 incisions, and the lower 2 are completely healed. But the one right under my navel is giving me problems. It keeps coming open. Doesn't look like it's infected, but it's a pain. I bruised up pretty bad around all of the incisions and it still hurts to wear regular pants, so I've been hanging out in sweats, yoga pants, and pj bottoms.
I am also down 50lbs since Valerie was born! I am pretty excited about that. I am now only 20lbs away from my goal weight and I am looking forward to start my workouts again next month when I am released to go back to regular activities.

It took me 2 years to lose the weight after my oldest was born, and I didn't lose anything after my second son was born before I got pregnant with Valerie. |
