Everything has been going really smoothly so far in the pregnancy. I had two blood tests last week and the levels seem to be doubling every 53 hours, so it's looking good. I feel pretty good. The first week, I spent a lot of time worrying that something was going to go wrong, but when I got the second blood test result, I felt a thousand times better. We don't have our ultrasound scheduled yet, however, I do have an appointment on Monday to do another blood test (and maybe see my OB/GYN? I'm hoping I do).
The only unusual thing is that, at least 75% of the time, I experience spotting after bowel movements. I've started drinking prune juice, which so far, has helped a good bit. But the only spotting beyond implantation spotting that I've experienced has been right after a bowel movement, so I'm not too worried. The less I strain, the less likely I am to spot, so I'm pretty sure it's linked to that. I hope to talk to my OB/GYN about that to make sure everything's okay. I have a triage nurse line I can talk to as well, and they told me it's pretty normal but to let the OB/GYN know.
I'm feeling great though! I hope it continues to go well. I'm really excited to be a mother.
