Induction

So, I went to my last pre-scheduled appointment bright and early this morning and my blood pressure was elevated.
They said since this is the second time my blood pressure has been elevated at a visit I am now considered gestational hypertensive. Hooray. The doctor did mention that she personally thinks I'm fine but this is protocol. Because the baby is large, and I am now gestational hypertensive, I'm now waiting for the OB coordinator to call me and tell me what time tonight I'm going in to begin induction *sigh*
My cervix is not currently favorable, fantastic. So, I get to go in tonight for a foley and prostiglandins. The internet makes this sound very uncomfortable and I am not really looking forward to it, but hopefully it works within the 12 hours the doctor claims it will and I'll be in labor and delivery tomorrow, and not in surgery! I really really really really would like to avoid a c-section but, whatever will give me a healthy baby is what I'm going to do.
Fingers crossed it goes according to plan.

Everyone is different and your body may respond well and not result is an emerg ceaser. I hope it all goes amazingly for you and you have a nice experience xx can't wait for pics tomorrow. |
