I'm driving myself batty

So, I had my first ultrasound last Wednesday and the tech said all looked good to her. We saw a heartbeat but it wasn't measured. Not sure why, but in retrospect I should have asked. I didn't hear back form the doctors office until yesterday because of the holiday. They told me that he said everything looks good, BUT wants me to do a repeat ultrasound this Wednesday (one week later). She did not say why, and I did not ask out of fear I suppose. I'm trying to tell myself everything is fine and they just want to check that things are progressing normally because of my history of two miscarriages. I've had no bleeding or worrisome signs of a problem but fear is on high alert. Praying for a good scan tomorrow. Phew. Pregnancy after miscarriage is not for the faint of heart.

I had to have ultrasounds weekly for my entire first trimester just to make sure things were progressing as expected. Every ultrasound was completely fine and there was nothing to raise concern -- it was just their protocol given my very long history of miscarriage. And, as they mentioned, it also gave ME weekly reassurance that all was well. Because yes, pregnancy after miscarriage can be tough!!

Im sure its fine! Its an awesome sign that you saw the heartbeat! I suffered three miscarriages in the last couple years, so I know its hard, but try to relax and find some relief in your symptoms. Doctors frequently do follow ups, and it sounds like the the ultrasound tec wasn't very thorough. Hopefully after tomorrow, you wont have to worry anymore! Good luck!

I had a sonogram at 6 weeks and a repeat sonogram a week later. I think it was routine for my doctor, just to verify everything she saw early on is still looking good.

Don't worry to much girl, just think of it like another way to get to see your baby again!!!

We are pregnant after a miscarriage too, it is scary for sure!!! We also have another scan tomorrow, cant wait to see the little bean again!!!
