The Daily Gag

Every morning I'm faced with a battle - brushing my teeth. My nausea is so bad that I gag and vomit constantly while trying to clean my teeth. It's horrible!

Morning sickness has hit me hard really early. With my first pregnancy it didn't really get bad till about 8 weeks. With my 2nd at about 6 weeks. With this pregnancy, it started at 4 weeks!

I have an underlying undercurrent of nausea constantly but it's particularly bad in the morning. I thought eating breakfast first thing would help but it actually makes me feel worse. Fortunately the nausea eases slightly in the afternoon, though it's always there on some level.

I can eat something and not feel too bad around 10:30am, but if I eat any earlier I feel worse. I've never been much of a breakfast person anyway, but I felt bad, like I should be eating breakfast early for the baby. But my GP told me to be guided by my body, if I felt better eating my first meal late in the morning rather than first thing then do it. I do remember with DD that later on in the pregnancy I would feel absolutely terrible if I overslept as it had been too long since I'd eaten. But at this early stage I suppose it is different.

Just booked in my dating ultrasound for 7wk2days. I had dating scans in my 2 previous pregnancies at 7wks2days too. This time it will be on my birthday. So potentially I could end up having the worst birthday ever. I got my first bfp on my birthday 4 years ago with DD. Hopefully the good luck on my birthday will continue. Feeling so anxious this pregnancy, after the blighted ovum in 2012 I am so worried it will happen again. Guess we'll find out at the dating scan in 2.5 weeks.
