Oh the nausea!

So I was only 9 dpo (or 3+2) when I found out I was pregnant. I'm a very impatient person. Anyway, since I was so early, I got a false sense of security because I felt completely fine...no nausea, no nothing...until yesterday. At 5 weeks exactly, it has hit me like a ton. of. bricks. ESPECIALLY when I'm hungry. There's a brief period of relief after I eat and then it starts back. It's going to be an interesting first trimester, but I count it all joy and consider it my baby saying "I'm here, Mommy!".

I agree with Stickybean! I was nausea from the middle of week 5 til like the end of week 12! Peppermint also helps, I carried a tin of Altoids with me everywhere and peppermint tea at home to sip on. Ginger helps too I'm told but I really dislike it so I can't say first hand!

I found out at 11dpo so sorta the same boat as you!

Thanks! Clearly I've been doing it all wrong! I eat a normal sized meal and then go as long as I can without eating because the thought of food turns my stomach, but that backfires because I'm so sick by the time I do eat that I turn into a complete "grumpass" as my husband calls it lol! Long story short, I'm going to try your way! :)

That's completely normal a lot of nausea doesn't start until 6 weeks. You will find you will need to eat little and often. I had to eat every 2 hrs to feel better even just a glass of milk something in your tummy all the time. For me it went away around 13,14 weeks. Enjoy it's all part of it. I too was 9dpo. :-)
