What helps you guys relieve yourself? Nothing so far is helping. I've used miralax, water.. Exercise. I have no gallbladder so usually this is never an issue. I tried greesy food and that did nothing. Help :(

Thanks everyone. Corn works too!

I use generic coarse unflavored Metamucil. It's just psyllium husk, no drugs. It's safe according to my midwives. With my last pregnancy I had to take it everyday toward the end, or I had severe cramping from back ups. Right now I'm taking a spoonful a couple times a week in water or juice. Also, I'm really craving fresh and dried fruit, which can cause diarrhea in mass quantities, so I figure regular small amounts should help you go more often. I agree that high fiber cereal in the morning can help a bit, and drinking more water couldn't hurt. Constipation is no fun. Hope you feel better soon!

Switch to gummy prenatal if you haven't already. That's what my doctor told me and it did wonders. Also keep up with fiber and drinks lots of water.

Prune juice is my go to thing. I hate the taste of it sooo much, but when I get desperate that usually works within an hour or two

The whole first trimester I took Colace every day and used Miralax off and on as well. Even with the addition of those medications I still had issues. It is bad enough that when I get backed up I will go almost a week without going, which can be really painful.

Keep the water up and make sure to add things to your diet that are higher in fiber. I normally try to get my fiber in the morning, as it seems to work better then, a cereal that is high in fiber can do wonders. Also, fruits and vegetables every day will help. I also try to keep some type of dried fruit in my diet like raisons or apricots. If you like prunes or prune juice give that a try as well.

I don't have a gallbladder either but constipation is something I am prone to even when I am not pregnant. Unfortunately even with all my modifications I still had a couple days where I had issues with it. I know it sucks and I wish you the best of luck.

I tried some laxatives but nothing seemed to help me. I just road it out and finally I'm back to normal. Even coffee didn't help me and coffee ALWAYS helps me potty.
