Eventful Easter weekend

On Friday I had a very light pink watery bit of spotting. It didn't last more than half an hour. Saturday I had just a few dabs of brownish spotting. It has stopped, but I still tried to call my doctor today and talk to her about it. She's not in, and I had to leaver her a message, but not before the office staff lady made it seem like I would be wasting her time. I know that light spotting is normal for how far along I am, it doesn't make it any less scary. Is it just me or is the office staff at women's health specialists extremely rude compared to the doctor? I really love my doctor, I just hate having to go through rude people to talk to her.

Anyway, now that that rant is over, I somehow managed to make it through Easter dinner at the in-laws without getting sick. We're waiting until Mother's Day to tell our families, so it would have been awkward to try to explain why I suddenly had to run to the bathroom and throw up! Baby made up for it Monday morning though, he/she really doesn't like it when I brush my teeth in the morning.

DH's cousin had their 4 month old at dinner and he fell asleep on me while I was holding him. My heart melting must have shown on my face because I started getting grilled on when I was going to have one. DH was conveniently outside when this happened, so I had to be the one to pretend it would be awhile. Mother's Day can't come soon enough so we can stop hiding it!

My doctor finally called me back and made me feel a lot better. She also gave me her direct extension to leave a message if I had anymore questions!

I agree that a lot of them are very desensitized. =/ It still really sucks though when you're worried and they make you feel even worse somehow. Sorry you had to deal with that!

I had a terrible time with my office staff before! I think they are so desensitized from hearing about pregnancy issues and they know what's a big problem and what's not that they don't handle their emotions well. I had a nurse tell me one time after she made me cry on the phone "well, I'm going to go now" and then hang up on me. Ugh! Glad your spotting stopped and your symptoms are keeping up! First tri is so hard!
