We've made a lot of progress on the nursery! DH finally put the crib together last night. He's starting second shift today so he wanted to stay up a little later, and began putting it together at 9pm! He woke me up about 12:30 so excited and proud, he even put the crib skirt and sheet on.
My grandmother gave me her old glider to go in the nursery over the weekend as well. The wood matches the crib almost perfectly. It's needing new cushions because my grandparents were both smokers and had a coal burning stove, so it's not something I see being worth the physical effort to clean and sanitize. I haven't decided if I'm going to attempt and crochet new cushions for it or if I'm just going to buy them. That's a project I don't see myself finishing before she gets here but it would be sooo cute.
We're doing a woodland theme, and my mother found some vintage watercolor prints of deer, rabbits and squirrels at a thrift store for 75 cents each. I can't wait to frame them and put them up!
Starting to get very excited about it all coming together.
