30w2d - OB appointment
By Summer0120 » Posted Nov. 13, 2015 10:51am - 246 views - 8 comments

After today, my OB appointments will be on Wednesdays so that they are more aligned with my due date. That will be nice. So I get to see the doctor the day before Thanksgiving. I plan to let her know then that I will be forgetting all about GD and smashing hardcore for a day. Lol! She didn't want to check my cervix today, because she said it will just increase the chance for me to start real labor. And she said with the symptoms I've been having (strong menstrual cramping, stronger BH contractions, egg white cervical discharge, and my weight tapering off) she just doesn't want to push me into labor at only 30 weeks. So I understand, but it would be nice to know what I'm dilated at now. She said if I keep taking it easy and doing what I've been doing, then I could possibly ride out the next couple months like this. But at this point there are no for sure answers. Babies come when they feel like coming, and no one can predict when that will be. So I'm trying so hard to keep my mind off of it. She wasn't worried about the no weight gain. She said she wishes I would have gained more weight by now, but my measurements increased which means baby is still growing. So that's all they are really concerned with. So not really any bad news at the appointment. I just hate not knowing what's going on "down there". I think I would have felt more at ease if they would have just checked my cervix. But oh well... just taking it day by day.

Glad to hear she wasn't worried about the weight gain and that your little one is growing!

You're like me, I am a need-to-know girl; it puts my mind at ease. But take it easy and eat your weight in goodies on Thanksgiving with no regrets!

I know! I was just thinking about that last night. Hope he's doing well! That was very early, but he seemed to be very strong. :)

Hang in there! I love seeing how close everyone is getting. Its hard to imagine I'd be 30 weeks right now ( I was 3 days behind you) and that I actually gave birth so flipping early. Can't wait to see your baby girls birth announcement in 6 weeks or more ;)

pbc... I honestly feel like things are at a standstill. I still have the symptoms, but they are no different than they were 3 weeks ago. I could really end up holding out until my due date. The only thing that keeps me really wondering is how low she dropped a few weeks ago. I've heard it is not common at all for babies to drop that low more than 4 weeks before delivery. Maybe I'll be one of the rare few. Lol!

Since I started the meter yesterday morning, my numbers have been under 100 every single time. So... I'm thinking I will allow myself to indulge like once a week and get a frappe or something I've been craving. :)

I feel completely frustrated not knowing if I really have to wait until 11/23 or if they will bump up my csection to next week and I'm basically term so I can imagine how stressful it is. As you said, take it day by day. You've reached 30 weeks, Yay! Just need to make it a couple more weeks if possible. Stay put baby girl!!!!

My ob told me it was ok to induldge every once in awhile, just not everyday. So I think you will be fine with indulging on Thanksgiving. :-)

And yay for 30 weeks! Sorry you are still have preterm labor symptoms. I hope baby cooperates and stays put just awhile longer!
