36 weeks & update from doctor

First of all... Thanks to the ladies who commented on my L&D post with encouragement and well wishes. It's definitely appreciated right now. Well we got to decide to go home or not at 3am. I was still only 1cm dilated, so I said I wanted to go home. We had to go back for an 8:20am appointment I already had set up this morning for 36 weeks. I am now 3cm dilated since we left the hospital hours ago. I also lost a lot of plug when she checked me this time. Probably the rest of it with a slight brown tinge. She didn't want me to go back to work since I've been up all night, so since I said I still didn't want to sit in l&d again, she told me to come home and try to get some sleep. She said I'm going to need the energy. We could be meeting baby today or not for another week or two. She highly doubts it will be more than two weeks. Baby is estimated at 6 1/2 pounds right now, and they said she looks great and very strong right now :)

I am having a lot of trouble breathing, but that's the only new issue other than the constant contractions. They aren't getting anymore painful, though. So it looks like I might get through hosting Christmas Eve dinner tonight. I already got half of the food made last night. Merry Christmas everyone!! |
