38 Weeks & Baby Appointment

Appointment went great! They did an NST, and she is very happy they said. She said I'm still 3cm and 90%, so I got a membrane sweep. She said my cervix is very favorable right now, so she has high hopes that I'll be in the 67% that those sweeps usually work for. I know ever since that I've been very nauseated due to all the cramping and contractions. But I hope they don't stop. I just want them to be real and make me go into labor. Induction is scheduled for next Wednesday the 13th (my dad's birthday) IF this membrane sweep doesn't work. I really really really hope it does, though. I'm so excited to meet this little munchkin. She estimated her at 6 1/2-7 pounds again. Same as 2 weeks ago. So either she has no idea what she's doing or this baby hasn't grown much in the last couple weeks. She definitely feels much bigger to me, so I think she just had a wrong estimate a couple weeks ago. I'm thankful though that she hasn't gotten ridiculously large. I was very scared of that. Her daddy was almost 11 pounds as a baby!!! Yikes!! I like my lady parts just the way they are. Lol! I'm very excited today. I'm on a serious adrenaline rush right now, though. Need to try to relax... at work. LoL!

I don't know exactly if I had my membranes swept or not with my 1st pregnancy, but I do remember at my appointment at 40w1d, the midwife said she was very "rough" when checking my cervix (and I was nearly in tears!) and I feel like it jump started everything, but it wasn't instant for me. It took a few days, but the cervix check made me lose my mucus plug and I was having tons of braxton hicks contractions until 40w5d, then the real contractions started, lol. I hope she's here soon! Can't wait to see a birth announcement!!!

	Comment from pbc910 » Posted Jan. 6, 2016 2:52pm I wouldn't worry too much about that weight estimate. The estimated weight for the twins their last 2 ultrasounds was completely wrong. Not horribly wrong, just off by a 1lb.
