Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder...

Am I the only second time mom who had forgotten how icky pregnancy makes you feel, especially early on? I am one of the fortunate ones who doesn't get typical morning sickness with vomiting and such but I do get this annoying nausea that immediately makes me a cranky pants. With my son, it was only in the evening and usually only over meat. So far I have had it each time I've eaten, with the exception being marinara and cheese. I try to eat mostly organic and all natural foods, as well as low carb and gluten free, but nothing I had available appealed to me today so I broke down and bought a huge sugar cookie with frosting and sprinkles. It immediately made me feel the best I've felt in weeks. I know this is going to be a tricky pregnancy now because I don't want to gain too much weight. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I am already 170lbs at 5'4" tall and don't need to gain really anything to have a healthy pregnancy, I just need to make sure I'm getting my nutrients and vitamins. That being said, I would love tips on fighting this first trimester fatigue. I used to run but now I'm good to get thirty minutes and half a mile in on the treadmill. It's like I'm drained before my day even starts and, though I don't work outside the home, there's no way my four-year-old will let me nap midday. I have completely 100% cut caffeine out of my diet so I feel like I'm dying over here...Help!

Haha-just eat what you can at this point-even sugar cookies;). I ate milkshakes, crackers and plain rice for a few weeks when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I really miss coffee too. It was my one treat of the day that gave me a boost. :(((

Wish I had an answer for you. This is my third pregnancy, and I was never this tired with my two girls. Nothing has helped my fatigue at all. Just praying it gets better as I get into the 2nd trimester.

We have the same kind of morning sickness! And I also forgot how crappy it is... I had a friend recommend taking a vitamin b6 supplement to help with the nausea, and it's helped mine a bit. It's also supposed to give a boost of energy, but I'm still exhausted all the time ;D
