When the Cure is Worse...
By Aldersonbaby » Posted Jun. 2, 2012 6:27pm - 241 views - 1 comment

My doctor called in some dissolving tablets for me to take since the nausea is becoming unbearable. I've taken only one each day for about three days straight. They warned me that these cause constipation, but when you're so sick you can't walk straight, that just seems like a minor inconvenience. BOY was I wrong!!!

I had bumped up the fiber and I've been eating prunes, salads, etc. But all of a sudden, day three and I am in PAIN. I'll leave it at that, but it's been a LONG day. (Hence the excessive use of capitalization for emphasizing.)

I will definitely not be taking any more of those traffic-jam tablets!!!

just a hint for you.... as I had to have those as well because I had hypermesis in the first trimester. Wait it out a few days so you can get them out of your system but if you do NEED them again.. and I asked my doctor about this so I am not just making it up.. but "hooch " them. You can put the dissolvable zofran tablet and insert it vaginally. It actually will absorb just the same because of all the blood vessels in there or for really fast relief doctor said the best way is to use it like a suppository anally. I never tried that way .. someone I know did and said it did not work but I think you have to really push it in there .. sorry tmi. lol but I always "hooched" them vaginally and they always worked great without the added constipation side affect. :) HTH. So if you NEED them need them your not suffering.
